      Project Delivery Coordinator

      The Professional Services Department is an integral part of the business. We are looking for an experienced Project Delivery Coordinator to work full-time within the Professional Services Department, supporting the operational needs of the business and ensuring the smooth coordination and delivery of client projects.

      About the role

      We are seeking a Project Delivery Coordinator to join our MSP team, specialising in IT infrastructure, cloud solutions, cybersecurity, and business applications such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and CRM implementations.

      The ideal candidate will support the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of high-quality technology projects for SMB clients. This role is key to maintaining project governance, supporting project management processes, and ensuring clear communication between technical teams, vendors, and clients.

      This position suits someone with strong organisational skills, technical awareness, and a passion for driving projects forward efficiently and effectively.

      KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

      The successful candidate will demonstrate:

      • Provide comprehensive support to the Project Delivery Manager across all IT projects (infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, and onboarding services).
      • Assist in developing and maintaining detailed project plans, schedules, and documentation to ensure alignment with client and company objectives.
      • Help ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget by coordinating teams, vendors, and clients, and monitoring progress
      • Act as a secondary client contact, maintaining professional and proactive communication, and ensuring updates are shared promptly and accurately.
      • Support the implementation of project management frameworks (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile, PMI) to ensure consistency and governance across all projects.
      • Track and report on project budgets, forecasts, and resource allocations, providing the Project Delivery Manager with regular performance insights.
      • Identify and escalate potential risks, issues, or dependencies, supporting the development of mitigation strategies and solutions.
      • Maintain accurate project records, action logs, and status reports for both internal stakeholders and clients.
      • Liaise with customers to manage expectations and uphold Akita’s high standards of professionalism and customer service.
      • Provide administrative and coordination support during project meetings and reviews, ensuring outcomes are captured and actions followed up.

      CORE SKILLS & ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

      The successful candidate will demonstrate:

      • Strong leadership and team management skills
      • Proficient in project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile)
      • Proven experience managing IT projects in an MSP or IT service environment
      • Solid understanding of cloud and AI technologies (e.g., Azure, AWS) and cybersecurity principles.

      DESIRABLE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

      You may also demonstrate:

      • Relevant project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner).
      • Previous experience in customer service or account management roles.

      The ideal candidate is proactive and detail-oriented, demonstrating initiative in identifying problems and ensuring accuracy in project documentation. They are adaptable and collaborative, prioritising client needs while maintaining professionalism and strong relationships, with the ability to analyse complex situations and work independently to achieve goals.

       

      Salary: Competitive, dependent on qualifications and skills
      Start date: ASAP
      Contract type: Permanent
       Hours: 37.5 working hours per week plus 1-hour unpaid meal break each day.
      Shift times: 08:45 – 17:15

      entitlement:

      24 days, rising to 30 days subject to terms after 3 years’ continuous service (plus 8 bank holidays)
      Sick pay: Contractual sick pay commences after 6 months
